What is F.C.C.L.A.?
FCCLA stands for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. FCCLA began in 1945 and is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization as its main focus. FCCLA is a non-profit organization for young men and woman through grade12 all across the country. There are over 160,000 members and more than 5,400 chapters. FCCLA is great because it focuses on a lot of problems that face teens today. If you are competitive there are a lot of events that you can compete in. For example, in the 2017-18 school year we had three groups do competitions. One was the blanket drive, another was the after school program, and the final one was this website. FCCLA is a great organization that has its head on. They have great focuses, goals, and welcome anybody that wants to join. This organization is essential for college and career readiness because it teaches you many skills for the future.
